Critical Incident Management

The Critical Incident Response (CIR) intervention is designed to provide psychological support for distressed employees, customers and other parties directly involved with or affected by a workplace critical incident. The PeopleSense approach aims to introduce the normalisation process to prevent the onset of abnormal reactions due to critical incidents such as Acute Stress Disorder and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

PeopleSense psychologists aim to achieve a return to normal functioning for all affected individuals in the most efficient way possible. This means being mindful of not traumatising individuals through the process, which has been an unfortunate trend in the industry.  PeopleSense CIR also identifies individuals who may have pre-existing physical or mental health conditions that may be deemed pre-disposing factors to the development of abnormal reactions following a critical incident. PeopleSense will offer pragmatic advice and support to the individual and organisation, to allow them to adjust and recover.
